Intensive Maintenance Work by All-lane Closures

This method is aimed to minimize the impact on traffic in a central city area by conducting road construction intensively at once. Major construction targets include road pavement and expansion joints.
Hanshin Expressway(HEX) adopted this method in 1973, and then HEX has carried out works under it approximately once in every year since 1985.
Before starting such intensive maintenance works, HEX uses to ask for cooperation on the work through publicity campaign by wide dissemination and intensive advertisement.
